Sagar College of education started in 2004 as a pioneering effort to provide well trained teachers for schools as it was realized that education was becoming a major requirement with the rapid growth of population. Well trained teachers are the backbone of any successful educational institution and Sagar College of education has been fulfilling this need. The college has been consistently securing good results and providing internship for its students in reputed schools. The college also has a placement cell to assist trained teachers to render their services to reputed schools..
Presently the college has 200 students enrolled for the Bachelor of Education program recognized by Rani Channamma University and approximately 1800 students have passed out successfully.

Facilities:
The college has a good infrastructure in place with spacious and well equipped classrooms. The laboratory facilities help the teacher trainees to remain updated with the syllabus while the computer lab ensures that they keep up with the latest technological developments in education. Music and Yoga classes are regularly conducted along with Socially Useful Productive Work (SUPW). Regular awareness programs are carried out to create awareness in society about current social problems.
